We often look at antibiotic resistance from a microbiological level. Today on Radio UF we examine superbugs from a macro perspective. What are we doing and can we do to prevent the development and spread of the resistant bacteria that are rapidly travelling across national borders?
We turn to India, named the superbug capital of the world, who have taken on the global norm of antibiotics overuse. In an interview with Johan Struwe, expert at the Public Health Agency of Sweden we learn more about the Swedish national plan against antibiotic resistance as well as the global challenges and progress in the World Health Organization.
