Vintage Party plays Baroque pop

Also known as English Baroque, this genre from the late 60s used instrumentation borrowed from classical chamber music, with a heavy emphasis on harpsichords, cellos and woodwinds, to create thoroughly melancholy pop music. The perfect music for rainy weather, cardigans and tea-drinking.

Tonight’s episode is heavy on obscure singles and little-known musicians, so don’t miss it!

Next week the theme will continue with Baroque pop’s more cheerful California cousin, sunshine pop.

Listen live Wednesday (tonight!) at 19.
